WHO IS KAREN M. CUNNINGHAM ANYWAY?
A graphic designer by day, and a closet writer at all other times, Karen is an overthinker from way back. She always has a story in her head and is known to become quite panicky when she doesn’t have at least a small stack of books waiting to be read.
Karen is the author and illustrator of Jenny Spaghetti (writing as Karen Margaret), a picture book for very young children. She was awarded a mentorship from the Australian Society of Authors for Missing Sarah Harris. But then she had a baby. And then she had another one. Before she knew it, more than 15 years had passed until she was brushing the dust off her manuscript, but Karen believes in the story and hopes you will too.
Karen also has another manuscript in progress for young adult readers: Happy Jack – the story of a girl who is unable to find her way in the world until she addresses a trauma from her past – which won the inaugural Buzz Words Page Turner Writing Competition; along with plenty of other stories to keep her awake at night.
